What is an Inspire Research Scientist?
An Inspire Research Scientist is a non-voting member whose qualifications include an MS and/or Ph.D. degree in a scientific discipline from an accredited university.
What does an Inspire Research Scientist membership entail?
A Research Scientist has the rights of Research Associate and additionally can:
- Act as Student Advisor, initiate and serve as Principal Investigator in Inspire Institute non-funded research
- Solicit funding from an approved list of research funding organizations maintained by the Office of Sponsored Programs
- Provide scientific consulting or scientific review for Inspire
- Submit papers, reports, or presentations without organization review
- Act as the final management authority on funded sponsored programs
- Have responsibility over laboratories, facilities, and equipment
What are the costs to become an Inspire Research Scientist?
Membership at the Research Scientist level is US $20.00 per year (the fee is waived if a member contributes to Inspire by writing or presenting at least one paper per year, or participates in a committee).
